I’ve given plenty of thought to making each image on here click through to a high-res version, because a lot of the photos on here look twice as good when they’re twice the size, and it would require very little extra effort.
The problem with putting up high-res images on the internet is that anyone can download them and use them for whatever they want. At that point I have to get into embedding copyright information and tagging the images and all that typical shit. I hate tagged images. And if someone ignores my copyright on an untagged image, I’ll probably never know because the internet is a big place. At 450 pixels wide the images are basically useless for anything except an ipod/phone backgrounds, so I don’t have to worry about it.
Up to this point I have been happy to email out high-res versions on request, and that has worked alright, but still leaves much to be desired as far as the presentation of the photos. I considered changing the blog layout to something that accommodates bigger photos, but I like this one too much. I’ve also considered making the images click through to a bigger but equally useless web-res size like 600×400 or 800×600. This last option is probably what will happen.
Just for the record, I’m not paranoid or iron-fisted about who uses my photos and for what purposes. It is just nice to be asked first, and the current setup ensures that. You will probably see some kind of improvement in this system soon, but for now any input and thoughts you have on it are more than welcome.

shizz. i love that last one. i feel what dave’s saying about that. flash would be a real saver, but in the end anyone who’s dedicated enough can grab your image and use it for whatever, cc or not.
i do release anything i make under cc though anyway.
