Mike Is Like

November 25, 2009

Mike Henitiuk is one of the only young skiers I’m really hyped on. I first saw him ski in the spring of 2008 at a Poor Boyz shoot, where he was stacked against the top young skiers in the world, and by the time it was over he was by far my favorite. Later that summer I decided to contact him to do an interview and shoot some photos for a magazine I was putting together. While the magazine was slaughtered at the hands of my schooling, the photos had been marinating on my hard drive for a while, so I sent him a few last week and now one of them is up on his brand new website. I’m happy he liked it enough to use it in the way that he did, and while I’m still looking forward to telling his story, for now he’s going to have to settle for the cover of Freeskier. Big up!

Thy Will Be Done

Salt Lake City.

My internet is finally live and updates will resume daily. I just picked up my two most recent rolls of film and I’ve been resisting the temptation to throw chronology out the window and sweep you up in my excitement. Instead I’m going to use them as fire to make sure I stay on my posting grind in order to show you them as soon as possible.
