Last October Raekwon took wolf shirts worldwide behind my back. Somehow I only picked up on this now, but I’m not mad because I’ve been repping his stylo since way back.
I know Rae doesn’t have the balls or the desire to jump in and drive off with the bandwagon, but now that this shit officially Hip-Hop, I want to know if he can fuck with this.
The real challenge of making kittens Hip-Hop is on me and one man.
Shout out to Counterfittin for the shots of Rae, and Claudio at Advance A Few Steps Back for the photo of me.

you are going to oppose this somethin’ fierce, but i would like to suggest that rappers get their hot new style ideas from williamsburg residents circa 2002 (who got their fashion inspiration from homeless peeps circa 1996). next: the keffiyeh.
p.s. your kitten shirt is exempt from any criticism ever

I would argue that Hip-Hop’s fashion sense is devolving and rappers don’t have any hot new style ideas.
Take it from rope chains and black jeans to Biggie in Coogi sweaters to G-Unit hoodies and glittered pants (Skipping a lot of great mentionable stuff). The point is things just go downhill.
I’m not here to complain about how Hip-Hop isn’t what it used to be, I’m just saying that a lot of rappers these days dress like little kids in over-sized pyjamas and sports clothes.
P.S. That book is officially on my reading list.

it’s funny cause i feel like from the 1970s through to the 1990s… actually, shit, make that the 1920s through to the 1990s, anything cool was just an imitation and a watering down of black culture.

Harsh but arguable. With the right major you could probably make that the topic for a legit masters thesis.
